Regenesis - The Early Genesis Show

REGENESIS produce the music of Genesis from the years 1970 - 75, recalling the era when PETER GABRIEL was lead singer of the band. They perform material from the albums "Trespass", "Nursery Cryme", "Selling England By The Pound" and "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway". The line up of the band consists of Tony Patterson (Vocals, Percussion, Flute and Costumes); Jamie Fisher (Drums, Backing Vocals, Guitar); Andy Hyam (Bass, Vocals, Guitar) Steve Marsh (Guitars) and Piers De Lavison (Keyboards).

REGENESIS have a colourful and highly theatrical show, featuring many of the outrageous costumes for which Peter Gabriel was famous during this period - The Old Man; The Flower; The Batwings and Britannia to name but a few. The aim is to recreate the atmosphere and magic of the early Seventies shows.

Musically, a huge amount of attention is paid to getting every detail correct. In order to capture the unique sound of the time, many vintage instruments have been amassed - Moog Taurus Bass Pedals; Twin Neck and 12 String Guitars; Analog Synthesiser and Organ.

The band made their debut in the Autumn of 1994 and have since built a huge following. 1996 culminated in a magnificent sell-out gig at London's prestigious LA2 venue. In January 1997 they performed at the Empire, Shepherds Bush to celebrate their signing a Record Contract with MYSTIC RECORDS. The immediate result of this collaboration is that ReGenesis released their first "Live" Cd on MYS CD112. Due to it's success a second album was released in September 1998 entitled "HERE IT COMES AGAIN" (MYS CD 126).

In October 2001 ReGenesis toured major theatre venues performing the wonderful "Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" show - the performance was totally authentic from those performed by Genesis 25 years beforehand. A third Cd "LAMB FOR SUPPER - LIVE 2001" (MYS CD 149) was released to co-incide with their show at London's Astoria Theatre in front of 1500 ecstatic fans.

Recent years have seen the release of a fourth CD called simply "2002 TOUR OFFICIAL BOOTLEG" and a headline appearance at the prestigeous PROGENY Festival in London in November 2004 following yet another succesful UK tour.

In October ReGenesis will be on the road again debuting their "SECONDS OUT" show - the complete performance of the 1977 double album release from Genesis. The show promises to be the biggest and best yet from the best tribute band the U.K. has produced.
