CLASSIC ROCK ON TOUR IN 2015

    RENAISSANCE

Still led by the wonderful Annie Haslam Renaissance tour the UK in April to promote their latest CD “Grandine il Vento”. The band have not toured the UK for a number of years despite retaining a loyal following of fans through their hit single “Northern Lights” and big selling albums “Turn Of The Cards”, “Scheherazade” and “A Song For All Season’s”. Renaissance will perform their best loved songs as well as some material from the new CD.

    GRYPHON

In June 2009 Gryphon reformed for a one-off reunion concert and sold out London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in record time. Since that date original members Richard Harvey, Dave Oberle, Brian Gulland, and Graeme Taylor have been searching for a suitable gap in their busy calendars to perform a short tour. May 2015 will see Gryphon on the road again. The band originated in the Seventies as an all acoustic ensemble that mixed traditional English Folk music with Medieval and Renaissance (the period not the above mentioned band) influences. The band soon added guitars and keyboards to play alongside the Basoon, Krumhorn, Recorder and Mandolin to create one of the most unique sounds around.

    STRAWBS

The Strawbs will be performing in a number of guises during 2015. Throughout most of the year Dave Cousins, Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk will be touring as the Acoustic Strawbs – a much loved harmonious trio featuring some great acoustic guitar work from all involved. In July however there will be a very unique tour of the Electric and Acoustic Strawbs which will feature a performance by each act and will cover the whole history of the band – not to be missed.

    PINK FAIRIES

If a band deserved to be called “Legendary” then the Pink Fairies are certainly among those that deserve the title. The band were formed in the late Sixties and soon became firm favourites of the UK Underground scene playing every imaginable Festival including Glastonbury. The band released three albums including the big selling “Never Never Land”. The Pink Fairies have always enjoyed a close relationship with “Motorhead” and “Hawkwind”. The band have reformed a number of times over the years and the current incarnation features long time members Russell Hunter, Andy Colquhoun, and Duncan “Sandy” Sanderson. On tour in March and beyond!

MARTIN TURNER PLAYS THE MUSIC OF WISHBONE ASH

Martin Turner was the founding member, singer, songwriter and bassist of Wishbone Ash with whom he enjoyed huge success in the Seventies and Eighties. Over the past few years he has again enjoyed a successful career fronting his latest band playing Classic Wishbone Ash tunes in the original style that they were first written. With the brilliance of new drummer Tim Brown coupled with the twin guitar assault from Ray Hatfield and Danny Willson Martin feels that he now has the best band he has ever played with.

    FOCUS

With original members Thijs Van Leer and drummer Pierre Van Der Linden Focus remain one of the most popular acts on the UK circuit with their amazing brand of Jazz/Rock which produced so many hit albums alongside household name singles “Hocus Pocus” and “Sylvia”. The band have recently released two new CD’s “Ten” which follows the tradition of great Focus albums and “Golden Oldies” the latter a 2014 reworking of all the classic Focus songs. The band show no sign of slowing down. Focus have a couple of dates left in March and will be back in the UK in November

    CURVED AIR

With the great Sonja Kristina singing as well as when the band enjoyed their success with “Back Street Luv” and with a new CD “North Star” that is enjoying healthy sales Curved Air are expected to enjoy a very successful 2015 with their ground breaking brand of “acid folk rock”. Curved Air will be on tour in April. The band still feature Florian Pilkington-Miksa on drums and Paul Sax on violin.
